About The Position

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational skills with prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to respond constructively to changes in priorities.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • At least six months of related professional experience.
  • Experience in an institutional or educational environment.
  • Familiarity with software such as Banner, PeopleAdmin, and DocuSign.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment process for exempt and nonexempt employees using standard hiring practices.
  • Provide education and materials to department contacts to assist in the employment process.
  • Coordinate and guide the hiring process, including background checks and offer letters.
  • Initiate and audit the onboarding process for new employees.
  • Serve as backup for the Benefit Specialist and maintain knowledge of benefits processes.
  • Assist with annual benefit open enrollment and benefit fairs.
  • Facilitate employee communication and feedback through various channels.
  • Partner with departments to communicate HR policies and procedures.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and seminars.
  • Establish departmental measurements to support strategic goals.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
