About the position

The HR Generalist/HRIS Specialist will support various HR functions under the direction of the Director of Human Resources. This role focuses on compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, training and development, safety, security, HR research, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while leveraging technology to enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Set up new employees in the HR Master file of the HRIS and maintain employee files and information.
  • Process payroll information including hourly rates, salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Prepare and execute biweekly payroll and ensure compliance with tax and benefit payments.
  • Manage employee insurance benefits programs and maintain the HRIS benefits module.
  • Coordinate employee equipment delivery and maintain inventory records in the HRIS.
  • Train employees on timekeeping processes and maintain accurate records of employee performance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems and appraisal procedures.
  • Support training initiatives and coordinate onboarding processes for new employees.
  • Update and maintain safety, health, and security policies and procedures.
  • Conduct HR research to analyze organizational KPIs and prepare reports for management.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR roles, preferably as an HR Generalist or Payroll Specialist.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • HR certification (aPHR or PHR) is required.

  • Experience with Win team from Team Software or any other HRIS system.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
