About the position

The HR Generalist at Hanwha Convergence USA Corp is responsible for enhancing the human resources department's functions by planning, implementing, and developing training, onboarding, and employee orientation programs. This role involves the administration of employee benefits, payroll, and compliance with legal requirements, while also serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Review and update HR and employee-related forms to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Assist with developing and implementing training and onboarding programs.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits, including health and dental, 401k, PTO, FMLA, and personnel issues.
  • Schedule and conduct new employee orientation activities, including meeting arrangements and compiling new hire paperwork.
  • Identify and clarify problems affecting manager and employee performance; evaluate and implement solutions; provide coaching and counseling.
  • Complete special projects by clarifying objectives, setting schedules, conducting research, and organizing information.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Maintain confidentiality to protect the organization's value.
  • Comply with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and advising management on necessary actions.
  • Enhance department reputation by accepting ownership of new requests and exploring opportunities to add value.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing employee development and training programs.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
  • Computer experience with knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Public speaking and presenting information to groups.
  • Ability to organize, synthesize, and analyze complex information and problems.
  • Ability to exercise persuasion and influence in sensitive situations.
  • Effective oral and written communication of policies and legal concepts.
  • Sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to safe work practices.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Ability to work closely with a team and make timely decisions.
