About the position

The HR Generalist plays a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, providing a wide variety of complex HR support to all levels within the organization. This position ensures the comprehensive administration of human resources policies and procedures, performing duties across various functional areas such as classification and compensation, employee development, acquisition projects, and legal compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines. As an HR Generalist, you will collaborate as an internal consultant on a broad range of cross-functional HR projects, ensuring that the organization adheres to best practices in human resources management. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities. Attention to detail is paramount, as the HR Generalist will be responsible for producing a large volume of materials that support the HR function and the overall mission of Prime Healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department.
  • Provide complex HR support to all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure comprehensive administration of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Perform duties in core HR areas including classification/compensation, employee development, and legal compliance.
  • Collaborate as an internal consultant on cross-functional HR projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a closely related field, or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • 3 - 4 years of recent healthcare experience in a Human Resources Department.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Proficient in computer applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR, SPHR, or relevant human resources certifications preferred.
  • Advanced degree in a related field preferred.
