About the position

As an HR Generalist at Regency Supply, you will play a crucial role in supporting our employees across the country while embodying and cultivating our company culture. This hybrid position, based in the Nashville, TN area, requires you to work 2-3 days a week on-site once an office is established. Your primary responsibilities will include talent acquisition and recruiting, onboarding and offboarding processes, and administering various employee benefits. You will also manage leaves of absence, including FMLA, CFRA, and PDL, while handling workers' compensation claims and other leave of absence requests. In addition to these core functions, you will conduct safety inspections and accident investigations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. Your role will also involve fostering positive employee relations and contributing to HR projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and retention. As part of a small HR team, you will have the opportunity to flex your HR skills and collaborate with colleagues to support the evolving needs of the company as it expands through organic growth and acquisitions. The HR team at Regency is dedicated to continuous learning and improvement, adapting to new compliance and regulatory requirements across various jurisdictions. You will be expected to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality, navigate complex situations with integrity, and deliver high-quality HR services while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a general human resources function including recruiting
  • HR certification from HRCI or SHRM preferred
  • College degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of and ability to read, understand, interpret, and apply generally accepted human resources principles, terminology, policies, and practices
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive information professionally and confidentially
  • Ability to effectively navigate emotional and complicated situations with diplomacy, integrity, and tact
  • Ability to work independently and be held accountable to commitments and required outcomes and deadlines
  • Collaborative, friendly, and humble in a team setting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands and priorities simultaneously while delivering high quality HR services and results
  • Effective listening and communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze situations and propose solutions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and HRIS systems
