About the position

The HR Generalist at FHLBank Indianapolis plays a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, including talent acquisition, payroll and benefits administration, and diversity initiatives. This position is designed for individuals who wish to engage in multiple HR areas and contribute to the Bank's mission of fostering a diverse and committed workforce. The role involves managing the internship program, coordinating recruitment efforts, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the on and offboarding of temporary staff and contract contingent workers.
  • Manage the Bank's Internship Program, including outreach initiatives and program activities.
  • Support the recruiting function in conducting full lifecycle talent acquisition processes.
  • Assist with the Bank's online engagement platforms and attend outreach events as assigned.
  • Coordinate the Bank's Accommodation request process and related data tracking.
  • Maintain Workday employee profiles and other related HRIS data fields.
  • Manage the Bank's HR Suggestion box and identify trends for discussion with the HR team.
  • Assist with coordinating the 90-day and exit interview feedback process.
  • Support HR colleagues in the design and implementation of Bank-wide initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining current Operating Procedures and related documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources management or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of proven HR experience.
  • Familiarity with standard HR concepts and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel for recruiting and outreach (approximately 15%).
  • Prior experience in a regulated industry or financial services organization is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience collecting, tracking, and monitoring HR metrics/data.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Experience in a banking institution.
