About the position

Nucor Data Systems is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Human Resources Generalist-Recruiting Specialist. This role is essential in managing a variety of HR activities that are crucial for the growth and development of our workforce. The HR Generalist will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and development of employees, as well as administering compensation and benefits. A significant focus will be placed on employee relations and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, including Affirmative Action. The primary goal of this position is to enhance our talent acquisition strategies, grow our talent pool, and improve sourcing tactics for Nucor Data Systems and Mission Critical Construction Services. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold Nucor's core values, which include integrity, work ethic, and personal responsibility. Safety is paramount in all roles at Nucor, and candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and maintain safety practices, policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. This position will require approximately 75% travel, indicating a need for flexibility and a willingness to engage with various locations and teams as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment process for various roles within the organization.
  • Conduct hiring and onboarding processes for new employees.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in HR, Business, or related field, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
  • 4+ years of recruitment experience for various roles.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience in a manufacturing and/or construction environment.
  • PHR or other professional certification.
  • Ability to speak and understand Spanish.
