About the position

The HR Generalist II - Talent Acquisition at MARTA is responsible for managing the full life cycle recruitment process, ensuring effective staffing strategies, and providing support to departments in meeting their hiring needs. This role involves coordinating job fairs, sourcing candidates, and assisting with onboarding, while also contributing to the development of HR policies and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full life cycle recruitment process for the Authority.
  • Assist with researching and administering recruitment strategies.
  • Provide guidance and support to departments for staffing needs.
  • Coordinate and host job fairs and community outreach events as needed.
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates for hiring consideration.
  • Ensure that required pre-employment checks are completed.
  • Provide ongoing support to new hires during the onboarding period.
  • Prepare salary recommendations for new hires.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and update of policies and procedures for Talent Acquisition.
  • Support special projects and human resources initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Four years of human resources experience with an emphasis on talent acquisition.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Oracle HRIS and SABA is desirable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.
