As an onsite “HR department of one,” you will be responsible for various functional areas including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, training and development, and employment law compliance. You will work closely with corporate HR staff to administer site needs regarding benefits administration, payroll, and HRIS. QPS has been assisting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies with their drug development efforts by providing a full range of services, including Early Phase Clinical and Phase II - IV Clinical Research services. The QPS location in Miami, Florida, is a multi-specialty research center employing clinical research professionals, including board-certified physicians, in a 32,000 square foot space. Responsibilities

  • Address basic employee relations issues, such as policy questions and general HR procedures, referring more complex issues to senior HR personnel.
  • Conduct recruitment efforts for all personnel needs for the site, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, extending contingent offers, generating offer documentation, completing pre-employment screenings, and completing post-hire processing, as well as maintaining the ADP recruitment module.
  • Develop a general understanding of all specialty areas and be able to address general employee questions and/or resolve basic issues, referring more complex issues to the HR team member assigned to that specialty.
  • Participate in employee counseling sessions regarding policy violations and career development.
  • Participate in meetings to advise supervisors/managers regarding employee performance issues and policy interpretations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated experience in a prior HR Generalist role.
  • Demonstrated experience administering HR modules in ADP (full usage preferred).
  • HR experience in a clinical environment is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a clinical research setting.
  • Knowledge of employment law compliance.
