About the position

The Davis H. Elliot Company is seeking an HR Generalist II to join our headquarters in Lexington, KY. This role is essential in supporting our diverse workforce of over 3,000 dedicated team members. The HR Generalist II will be responsible for providing comprehensive internal support and establishing effective partnerships across various departments and regions. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in all aspects of HR processes and a deep commitment to fostering employee well-being and engagement. This position is pivotal in delivering an exceptional HR experience that aligns with our company values and goals. In this role, you will be answering employee and manager questions and concerns regarding benefits, general policies, and problem resolution. You will also be involved in data exporting and importing, utilizing advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables. The HR Generalist II will have opportunities for continuing education and professional development, and we encourage candidates to pursue HR certifications. Some travel may be required, approximately 5-10%, to the 10+ states our team serves. Responsibilities

  • Answer employee and manager questions and concerns regarding benefits and general policies.
  • Resolve employee issues and provide problem resolution support.
  • Export and import data using advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
  • Establish effective partnerships across different departments and regions.
  • Support the diverse workforce of over 3,000 team members.
  • Foster employee well-being and engagement through HR processes.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proven knowledge of HR standards, procedures, and laws.
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, Excel, and HRIS databases.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or another related field (preferred).
  • 2-3 years of HR experience (preferred).
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification (preferred).

Nice-to-haves

  • Willingness to pursue HR certification if not already obtained.
  • Experience in a similar HR role.
