About the position

The HR Generalist III at REV Group is a pivotal role that provides essential HR services to employees within the business unit, ensuring a positive employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle. This position is critical in supporting various HR functions, including employee onboarding, offboarding, retention, HR program administration, change management, employee relations, talent management, coaching, and policy interpretation. The HR Generalist III acts as an HR Business Partner, establishing strong relationships with local management and employees to influence and coach them on effective employment practices. In this role, the HR Generalist III will continuously assess existing processes and programs, identifying gaps and inefficiencies, and recommending improvements for standardization and simplification. The position also involves supporting staffing needs in collaboration with Talent Acquisition, which includes candidate screening, scheduling, and participation in job fairs. The HR Generalist III will guide and mentor people leaders to foster a positive work environment and will work closely with local management on various employment matters, including performance management and employee inquiries. Additionally, the HR Generalist III will be responsible for processing employment transactions, coordinating onboarding activities for new employees, conducting employee investigations, and providing support to the site Manager HR Business Partner. The role requires staying current on state and federal employment laws and company policies, delivering training on various HR topics, and utilizing data analytics to inform business decisions. This position is integral to promoting positive employee relations and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Establish yourself as an HR Business Partner to assigned leaders to provide exceptional Human Resources support.
  • Develop positive working relationships through on-site and floor presence with local management and employees to influence and coach them on effective employment practices.
  • Continuously identify changes, gaps, and inefficiencies in existing processes and programs; provide standardization, simplification, and improvement recommendations.
  • Support staffing needs, in coordination with Talent Acquisition, including candidate screening, scheduling, and participating in job fairs.
  • Guide, mentor, and collaborate with people leaders to ensure a positive work environment is created.
  • Work in partnership with local management on various employment matters including performance management, employee inquiries or complaints, and the implementation of company-wide HR activities.
  • Provide and promote positive employee relations, effectively respond to employee inquiries, and be actively involved in resolving issues and concerns.
  • Process employment transactions via the ticketing system and acquire employee data reflecting employment trends/progress towards key initiatives or expectations.
  • Coordinate activities for new employees including onboarding, new hire orientation, post-hiring interviews, and other employee engagement activities.
  • Conduct tier II and some tier III employee investigations and recommend actions to effectively resolve issues.
  • Provide support to site Manager HR Business Partner, including coaching on reviewing corrective action, disciplinary action, and terminations ensuring consistency and adherence with company policy.
  • Assist with organizational training and development efforts, including talent reviews.
  • Deploy training to inform or assist employees/managers on job-related activities, policies, or best practices.
  • Utilize data analytics to make informed business recommendations and decisions.
  • Deliver applicable training such as Performance Management Training, Employment Law Training, Sexual Harassment, and System training (HRIS, Payroll, etc.).
  • Stay current on state/federal employment laws and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of Human Resources experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with employees at all levels within the organization.
  • Must be trustworthy with highly confidential information and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Solid human resources generalist skills, especially in the areas of talent acquisition and employee relations.
  • Ability to quickly gain trust and build relationships.
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to work within changing priorities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task.
  • Innovative team player with a commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Sound judgment with the ability to make timely, and sometimes difficult decisions.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
