About the position

The HR Generalist position at Roth Staffing Companies in Dallas, Texas, is a vital role within a small HR team consisting of the HR Director, HR Coordinator, and the HR Generalist. This position is responsible for managing the entire new hire onboarding and orientation process, ensuring that new employees have a smooth transition into the company. The HR Generalist will oversee the recruitment process, which includes coordinating interviews, conducting phone screenings, posting job advertisements, collaborating with hiring managers, and screening resumes to find the best candidates for the organization. In addition to recruitment, the HR Generalist will serve as the main point of contact for employees regarding HR policies and procedures, providing guidance and support as needed. This role also involves administering employee benefits, assisting with open enrollment, and coordinating with the company's broker to resolve any issues that may arise. The HR Generalist will review and verify invoices before submitting them for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. The position requires the HR Generalist to handle first-level employee relations, escalating more complex issues to the HR Director when necessary. The HR Generalist will execute the steps involved in the termination process and generate and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement within the HR function. Additionally, this role will lead the employee engagement committee, coordinating celebrations, meetings, company events, and other initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture. The HR Generalist will also maintain office supply inventory and place product orders as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the entire new hire onboarding and orientation process from start to finish
  • Oversee the recruitment process (coordinating interviews, conducting phone screenings, posting job ads, collaborating with managers, and screening resumes)
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employees regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Administer employee benefits (assist with open enrollment and coordinate with the company's broker on any issues)
  • Review and verify invoices before submitting for payment
  • Tend to first level employee relations and escalate higher level relations to Director
  • Execute steps for termination process
  • Generate and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Lead the employee engagement committee coordinating celebrations, meetings, company events, and other committee initiatives
  • Maintain office supply inventory and place product orders

Requirements

  • 2-7 years of previous experience working in Human Resources
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
  • Must be able to work well independently
  • Must have a tactical mindset
