The HR Generalist at Janus International Group will perform a variety of human resources-related duties on a professional level, collaborating closely with the corporate human resources team. This role encompasses several key functional areas including recruiting, benefits administration, training, onboarding, workers compensation administration, policy implementation and enforcement, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The HR Generalist will be instrumental in maintaining a positive work environment and supporting the overall HR strategy of the organization. In this position, the HR Generalist will participate in local staff meetings where goals, processes, and systems are discussed and evaluated. They will be responsible for maintaining compliance with all employment-related federal and state regulations, administering various HR programs and procedures for all company personnel, and maintaining the standard headcount board. The HR Generalist will also solicit approvals for additional positions requested by management and oversee the Temporary Employee Program for their location, facilitating the conversion of temporary employees to full-time status, including onboarding and orientation. Additionally, the HR Generalist will assist supervisors with the review of timecards for hourly employees as needed, notify payroll of any special payments or deductions, and provide support and guidance to managers when employees need to be coached, disciplined, or terminated. They will handle day-to-day employee assistance, conduct investigations on reported situations, and conduct exit interviews, providing corporate human resources with findings. Participation in Unemployment Hearings and serving as the primary backup to the Safety Coordinator are also key responsibilities of this role. The HR Generalist will perform other related duties as required and assigned, ensuring that all HR functions are executed efficiently and effectively.
