About the position

As an HR Generalist at Janus International Group, you will perform a variety of human resources-related duties on a professional level, collaborating closely with the corporate human resources team. Your responsibilities will encompass several functional areas including recruiting, benefits administration, training, onboarding, workers compensation administration, policy implementation and enforcement, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. This role is pivotal in maintaining a productive and compliant workplace, and you will be expected to engage actively in local staff meetings where goals, processes, and systems are discussed and evaluated. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with all employment-related federal and state regulations, administering various HR programs and procedures for all company personnel, and maintaining a standard headcount board. Additionally, you will solicit approvals for additional positions requested by management and oversee the Temporary Employee Program at your location. Facilitating the conversion of temporary employees to full-time status, including their onboarding and orientation, will also be a key part of your role. In your day-to-day activities, you will assist supervisors with the review of timecards for hourly employees, notify payroll of any special payments or deductions needed, and provide support and guidance to managers when employees need to be coached, disciplined, or terminated. You will handle employee matters, conduct investigations on reported situations, and conduct exit interviews, providing corporate human resources with your findings. Participation in Unemployment Hearings and serving as the primary backup to the Safety Coordinator are also part of your responsibilities. Overall, this position requires a proactive approach to human resources management and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree in Human Resources preferred.
  • Minimum of two to three years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Advanced computer skills required; proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • HRIS experience preferred.
  • Data entry accuracy, detail-oriented, and extremely organized.
  • Bilingual.
