About the position

The Human Resources role focuses on managing the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes within the company. This position is critical in ensuring that staffing needs are proactively identified and met, while also supporting various HR initiatives and compliance with employment laws.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify staffing needs and manage the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Support the recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, screening applicants, maintaining recruiting systems, following up with candidates, and tracking results using the Workday platform.
  • Represent the company at career fairs.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding and oversee the new hire orientation process, including scheduling, completing employment paperwork, and conducting timeclock training.
  • Manage the employee referral incentive program.
  • Leverage data analytics to inform decision-making, analyzing hiring, turnover, retention, and talent management trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex or sensitive issues to the Human Resources Manager.
  • Maintain and update employee records, including personnel files and HRIS data.
  • Regularly review and audit employee data and files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Process employee changes such as job transitions, promotions, and terminations, and conduct exit interviews for departing employees.
  • Lead employee relations initiatives.
  • Support organizational initiatives such as quality, safety, environmental management, continuous improvement, and cost containment.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources with experience in talent acquisition and recruiting.
  • Manufacturing Industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
