About the position

In this role, you will be responsible for providing HR support that results in an engaged workforce and a more productive business. You will support people strategies, respond to day-to-day HR activities for the clients, execute talent management efforts, and partner with key Gap Inc. HR solution centers such as Talent Management, Employee Relations, Recruiting, and Total Rewards to deliver results against the people strategies. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring that the workforce is engaged and that the business operates efficiently. You will actively support the HR team in advising leaders on people and organizational decisions, as well as change management efforts. This includes implementing strategies that improve employee engagement year over year, as measured through the continuous listening process. You will analyze HR metrics to identify business opportunities and work with the HR team to implement effective solutions. Additionally, you will execute talent management and succession planning activities within the business, ensuring that the organization is prepared for future challenges. Partnering with the HR team, Talent Acquisition, and Learning Development, you will implement talent strategies that align with the company’s goals. You will also deploy appropriate retention strategies to promote organizational stability, ensuring that the company retains its top talent and maintains a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HR team on people and organizational issues, demonstrating resourcefulness to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Advise leaders in various functions on people and organization decisions and change management efforts.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Human Resources generalist or specialist preferred.
  • General knowledge of HR practices including benefits, compensation, employment law, employee/labor relations, talent management, and learning and development.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to partner and build relationships.
  • Good communicator with strong listening skills and problem-solving abilities.
