About the position

The HR Generalist position is a part-time, contract role focused on a variety of human resources functions within a distribution company. This hands-on role requires at least 5 years of experience in HR and involves responsibilities such as benefits management, recruiting, employee relations, and payroll management. The position is hybrid, requiring local presence in Boulder, CO, and is set to last for 6 months starting in mid-October.

Responsibilities

  • Handling benefits including open enrollment, benefits updates, new hire benefits enrollment, monthly benefits invoicing, and benefits management.
  • Assisting managers with performance review and goal management for the new year.
  • Full life cycle recruiting including partnering with hiring managers.
  • Managing leave including FMLA, Colorado Family Act, tax reporting, and updating Leave Tracker.
  • Managing HRIS systems.
  • Employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Payroll management and payroll reporting.
  • Managing employee relations, unemployment claims, workers compensation, and any global requests.
  • Handling year-end processing including W-2's and 1095-C's.
  • Additional tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in an HR Generalist role.
  • Ability to commit to a 6 month contract.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft platforms, with a focus on Excel.
