About the position

The HR Generalist/Payroll Specialist role at CornerStone Staffing focuses on managing payroll and HR functions for a construction company in Southlake, TX. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, onboarding new employees, and supporting various HR operations, particularly in payroll management for multiple entities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll for 25-30 employees, including sales commission for sales reps.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including deductions, taxes, and benefits.
  • Handle payroll adjustments, corrections, and discrepancies as needed.
  • Process payroll for two main business entities, with potential for future multi-state payroll processing.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
  • Assist with employee documentation, benefits enrollment, and orientation, especially for new hires in sales roles.
  • Support HR operations including benefits administration, employee recordkeeping, and compliance with employment laws.
  • Use Paylocity for documentation, benefits management, and payroll-related functions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of HR experience with a focus on payroll processing.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll is a plus.
  • Experience using Paylocity or similar payroll software is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payroll best practices, tax regulations, and benefits administration.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
