About the position

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a full-time HR Consultant, with the potential to hire a Senior HR Consultant based on experience. This role involves providing comprehensive human resources support for the College of Medicine and UC Physicians, Inc., focusing on delivering excellent customer service, enhancing communication, and developing standardized HR processes. The position requires collaboration with various departments to address HR needs, manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations, while ensuring compliance with policies and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Human Resources functions and best practices.
  • Partner with assigned departments to understand business processes and HR implications.
  • Create HR processes, procedures, forms, and databases for COM and UCP.
  • Consult with department leadership on recruiting and hiring needs, including creating positions and job postings.
  • Interface with departments and candidates to process initial faculty appointments and manage onboarding.
  • Review benefits information and communicate basic benefits questions from employees.
  • Design and generate reports related to recruitment, retention, and internal salaries.
  • Administer payroll processes for staff and faculty members.
  • Advise employees on leave policies and interface with UC Leave Administrators.
  • Consult on terminations and maintain confidentiality with high integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Seven years of relevant work experience or specialized training in lieu of education for HR Consultant.
  • Three years of related Human Resources experience for HR Consultant.
  • Eight years of relevant work experience or specialized training in lieu of education for Senior HR Consultant.
  • Four years of related Human Resources experience for Senior HR Consultant.
