About the position

The HR Generalist Senior provides high-level effective HR administrative support to a diverse range of Programs, ensuring that all employees within these programs are paid correctly and on time, while addressing all related HR matters promptly. This role involves close collaboration with various programs to gather feedback aimed at improving the relationship between HR and the business units. The HR Generalist Senior serves as an internal resource to resolve complex issues related to functional HR areas, develops and recommends new policies and practices to meet the needs of management and employees, and maintains a thorough understanding of HR policies, procedures, and applicable labor laws. In this position, the HR Generalist Senior partners with business groups to assess pricing needs in collaboration with Compensation, identifies customer needs, and finds solutions to ensure successful program capture. They also assist in hiring processes, acting as a liaison for effective job postings, hiring, and onboarding of new team members. The role encompasses a variety of employment and HR activities for designated programs, ensuring that the HR function operates smoothly between assigned strategic business groups, third-party administrators, and the corporate office. The HR Generalist Senior is the point of contact for managers and employees regarding employee relations issues, ensuring that proper training is conducted for both employees and managers in HR-related matters, including performance management and merit increases. They are responsible for executing corporate HR programs such as benefits enrollment and community service activities, creating and maintaining HR files, and updating information systems in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. Additionally, they validate and prepare FSA Contracts for overseas operations and train lower-level Generalists. Responsibilities

  • Serve as an internal resource to solve complex HR-related problems.

  • Train lower-level Generalists.
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Four (4) to six (6) years of experience in a Human Resources environment.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources may be substituted for each year of an Associate's degree.
  • Advanced knowledge of Human Resources functions.
  • Experience in a customer-oriented professional environment.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to meet goals while working under limited supervision.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and exercise discretion.
  • General computer skills, including spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and HRMS.
  • Demonstrated record of accomplishments in applying HR concepts to complex assignments.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management preferred.
  • Federal government contracting industry experience is highly preferred.
