About the position

The HR Generalist II plays a crucial role in the administration and strategic operations of the HR department, focusing on enhancing the employee life-cycle experience through effective recruitment, engagement, and retention strategies. This position collaborates closely with the Director and HR Managers to analyze HR data, support employee relations, and ensure quality service delivery to both internal and external customers. The HR Generalist II is responsible for facilitating new hire orientations, addressing employee concerns, and providing consultation on various HR matters.

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day HR operations and administration for TM&E.
  • Work closely with the Director on leader and employee inquiries.
  • Analyze HR data and create reports on turnover, employee engagement, and exit interviews.
  • Assist in employee relations, engagement, HRIS, benefits, and recruitment as assigned.
  • Collaborate in launching and facilitating new hire orientation.
  • Respond to employee and volunteer concerns, providing coaching and support.
  • Lead and support sourcing, interviewing, placement, and onboarding of employees and volunteers.
  • Provide consultation on recruitment, hiring, orientation, and compensation matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in Human Resources (Recruitment, Generalist, HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, etc.) or equivalent.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of HR federal laws and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in HR or MBA.
  • Additional HR training or experience.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft.
