About the position

The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in deploying and administering HR programs, policies, and processes, with a specific emphasis on training and development initiatives. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of business needs and objectives, enabling the HR Generalist to create and implement effective HR solutions. The individual will partner with managers to enhance the productivity and effectiveness of the organization's workforce, ensuring compliance with HR regulations, resolving HR issues, and addressing employee inquiries. The role demands a data-driven, analytical, and collaborative HR professional who will be required to travel between various sites as part of their responsibilities. In this role, the HR Generalist will provide support to both employees and management on a variety of HR-related matters, including employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions. They will collaborate with HR leadership to design and implement workforce strategies that align with organizational objectives. A key responsibility will be to assess the developmental needs of the company and arrange appropriate training solutions for employees. This includes coordinating and delivering training programs, creating or acquiring training materials, and ensuring that these materials are translated if necessary. The HR Generalist will also evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms. They will work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure that current training is effectively managed within the UniPoint Training System, maintaining compliance with training requirements. Additionally, the HR Generalist will utilize data analytics to analyze HR metrics, identify trends, and provide insights that can improve HR processes and strategies. This includes developing and delivering reports and presentations on various HR analytics, such as turnover rates and training effectiveness. Furthermore, the HR Generalist will assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards. They will support the HR team with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding activities as needed, while also maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases. Participation in special projects may also be required as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to employees and management on HR-related matters, including employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Partner with HR leadership to design and implement workforce strategies to meet organization objectives.
  • Assess company-wide developmental needs and arrange suitable training solutions for employees.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs, including creating or acquiring training materials and ensuring translation if needed.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure current training in UniPoint.
  • Create and maintain records of training and development activities, employee profiles, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Manage the UniPoint Training System and ensure training compliance (training report, maintenance, and audit support).
  • Utilize data analytics to analyze HR metrics, identify trends, and provide insights to improve HR processes and strategies.
  • Develop and deliver reports and presentations on HR analytics, including turnover rates, training and recruitment effectiveness, and other HR KPIs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
  • Support HR team with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding activities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR database.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Typically, 3 or more years' related work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 1 - 3 years of HR Generalist experience.
  • Training and development experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of human resource laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent project and process management skills with a demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic business environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with PC office products (e.g., Excel & PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS (Ultimate Kronos Group).
  • Ability to present in large audiences.
  • Collaborative and able to work well with teammates and employees/leaders at all levels.
