About the position

The HR Generalist at UGI Corporation will play a pivotal role in partnering with assigned field operations client groups to drive people-related initiatives. This position focuses on various aspects of human resources, including performance management, employee and labor relations, and the execution and enhancement of policies and procedures. The HR Generalist will collaborate closely with UGI's Centers of Expertise (COEs) and other leaders to advance the HR agenda within the organization. In this role, the HR Generalist will be the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR-related topics, providing effective resolutions to various issues. Responsibilities include supporting senior HR Business Partners (HRBPs) with day-to-day HR operations, such as interpreting policies and procedures, managing onboarding and offboarding processes, and offering guidance on leave of absences and performance management. The HR Generalist will also work with field managers to develop engagement strategies that enhance work relationships, morale, and retention rates. Additionally, the HR Generalist will lead investigations to resolve employee relations issues and will evaluate trends in collaboration with senior HRBPs and leadership. This position also involves supporting the HR team on interim projects and other key initiatives, ensuring that the HR function aligns with the overall business strategy and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with field operations, business leaders, and HR partners.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR topics and provide effective resolutions.
  • Partner with senior HRBPs to support day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, and performance management guidance.
  • Enhance engagement strategies with field managers to improve work relationships, morale, and retention.
  • Lead investigations to resolve employee relations issues and develop strategies for trends with senior HRBPs and leaders.
  • Support the HR team on interim projects and key initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role in a corporate environment.
  • Strong ethics and integrity with the ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders effectively to drive decision-making.
  • Experience in driving alignment and adoption of cross-functional HR programs and initiatives is desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus and establish trust with client leads.

Nice-to-haves
