In this position, you will assist with various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee training. You will work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and manage the recruitment process effectively. Additionally, you will facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they have a smooth transition into the company. Your role will also involve administering employee benefits programs and addressing any benefits-related inquiries from staff. Moreover, you will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain accurate employee records. Supporting the development and delivery of employee training programs will also be part of your responsibilities, as you assist in identifying training needs and career development opportunities. You will participate in various HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, organizational culture, and HR processes, contributing to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, and conducting initial interviews.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to understand their staff needs and manage the recruitment process.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, paperwork, and training.
  • Manage the offboarding process for departing employees, including final paperwork.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Assist employees with benefits-related questions and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
  • Support the development and delivery of employee training programs.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and career development opportunities.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, organizational culture, and HR processes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or 3 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
