About the position

The HR Generalist at TalentCount plays a crucial role in managing human resources functions and workforce management. This position is responsible for employee relations, compliance with labor laws, recruitment, benefits administration, and maintaining employee records. The HR Generalist serves as the primary point of contact for employees, ensuring a positive company culture and adherence to HR policies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HR department and facilitate communication of company policies and programs.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and updating of employee records, including personal data and performance reviews.
  • Verify and maintain I-9 documentation for compliance with regulations.
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits, including Workers' Compensation.
  • Maintain the Human Resource Information System (Paychex Flex) and produce required reports.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job posting and interview scheduling.
  • Manage new employee documentation and support the onboarding process.
  • Assist with special projects or research as required.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years in HR roles with exposure to various HR functions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of HR laws, Federal & State regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and HRIS software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Collaboration with PEO services is a plus.
  • Experience in payroll management.
