Avosys Technology, Inc. is seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our Human Resources department, focusing on the development, support, and implementation of corporate HR policies, programs, and practices. This includes responsibilities in recruiting, onboarding, new hire orientation, benefits administration, and payroll support. In this role, the HR Generalist will be responsible for maintaining HR personnel files and records in our HRIS system, ensuring compliance with contract licensure, certifications, and immunization documents necessary for our Joint Commission (JCAHO) healthcare quality certification. The position involves onboarding new hires, which includes preparing offer letters, conducting background checks, drug screenings, and facilitating new hire orientations. The HR Generalist will also support the HR Manager in investigating employee and manager complaints regarding policy violations and assist in implementing corrective actions. Additionally, the role includes supporting employment terminations and conducting exit interviews and surveys to gather feedback. The HR Generalist will manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to post job openings, track applicants, and support the supervision of recruiters. This includes developing job descriptions, posting jobs on various career websites, and maintaining corporate portals on social media platforms for recruitment purposes. The position also involves administering employee benefit programs, coordinating with benefit plan brokers, and assisting with payroll and timekeeping functions as needed. The HR Generalist will contribute to special projects assigned by HR, Accounting, or Operations departments while maintaining confidentiality and discretion in all duties.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, support and implement effective HR programs including recruitment, benefits and compensation, training and development, records management, safety and health, and employee relations.
  • Maintain HR personnel files and HRIS system records for all company employees.
  • Maintain contract licensure, certifications, and immunization compliance documents to support company Joint Commission (JCAHO) healthcare quality certification.
  • Onboard new hires including offer letters, background checks, drug screenings, onboarding forms, and new hire orientations.
  • Draft offer letters and finalize salary negotiations.
  • Support HR Manager in investigating employee and manager complaints regarding violations of company policies and assist in corrective actions.
  • Support employment terminations and related exit interviews and surveys.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements; enforce adherence to requirements; advise management on needed actions.
  • Manage Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to post, assign, and track progress of sourcing and job postings.
  • Support supervision of all recruiters using ATS defined metrics and reporting.
  • Recruit for positions, including development of job descriptions, job postings on career websites, candidate sourcing and pre-screening, applicant tracking, and analyzing salary surveys.
  • Maintain and manage corporate portals on social media platforms for recruiting.
  • Manage access, use, and recruiter delegation of corporate subscriptions for online recruitment sourcing databases such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Dice, Monster, Career Builder, ZipRecruiter, etc.
  • Maintain job descriptions, job postings, and interview questionnaires for all contract positions.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollment, in coordination with benefit plan brokers.
  • Maintain employee benefits programs, including employee communication, recommending benefit programs to management, directing the processing of benefit claims, and designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
  • Support benefits enrollment and billing reconciliation as needed.
  • Assist with payroll, timekeeping, and data entry functions as needed.
  • Assist with special projects assigned by HR, Accounting, or Operations departments.
  • Contribute to the team effort by maintaining a flexible, positive, can-do attitude.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Two years of recruitment experience in Information Technology, healthcare providers, and administrative positions and/or for federal contracts.
  • Current knowledge of HR laws and processes including EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, AAP, etc.
  • Minimum two years of experience in supporting Human Resources, preferably with experience to support Service Contract Act government contracts.
  • Minimum of one year support of HRIS/Payroll systems, Paycom preferred.
  • Effective and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • SHRM trained or certified.
  • Experience in supporting Service Contract Act government contracts.
