About the position

Allied Professionals, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Human Resource Generalist to join our team. With over 35 years of experience in providing medical, dental, and home care professionals throughout the Twin Cities, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality care to our clients. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in leading all HR activities within the organization, ensuring compliance with legal standards and implementing effective talent strategies. This position is vital for maintaining a positive work environment and supporting our employees throughout their employment journey. In this role, the HR Generalist will be responsible for a variety of tasks including recruitment, staffing, and onboarding. You will develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates, utilizing HR metrics and analytics to make informed hiring decisions. This includes sourcing candidates through various channels, conducting interviews, and leading the onboarding process for new hires. Additionally, you will ensure that all HR documentation meets state, federal, and contractual requirements, maintaining accurate records for both employees and clients. The HR Generalist will also be expected to maintain clear communication with upper management regarding HR initiatives and collaborate with team members to address employee relations issues. You will assist with benefits administration, policy implementation, and compliance with employment laws. Analyzing retention and turnover rates to identify trends and improve recruitment strategies will also be part of your responsibilities. This position requires a proactive approach to fostering a positive work environment and ensuring that all HR practices align with industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified medical, dental, and home care professionals.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to assess and make informed hiring decisions based on organizational needs.
  • Source candidates through various channels, including online job boards, schools, networking events, and referrals.
  • Conduct interviews and screenings to assess candidate qualifications/experience for assignments.
  • Lead the hiring and onboarding process for new hires, including background checks, credential verification, and compliance checks.
  • Ensure all HR documentation and credentials meet State, Federal, and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, both physical and electronic, to facilitate comprehensive review of employee and client records.
  • Respond knowledgeably to Worker's Comp and Unemployment claims, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Stay updated on relevant employment laws and regulations, ensuring company compliance.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with upper management regarding HR initiatives, challenges, and successes.
  • Collaborate with team members to address employee relations issues, conflict resolutions, disciplinary actions, grievances, and promote a positive work environment.
  • Assist with benefits administration, employee relations, policy implementation, affirmative action initiatives, and employee law compliance.
  • Maintain licensing and certifications for employees, ensuring ongoing compliance.
  • Analyze retention and turnover rates to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of recent HR Generalist or HR Manager experience.
  • Solid knowledge of human resources best practices and employment laws.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong computer knowledge and software capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within a team structure.
