About the position

We are seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join our growing food distribution company in Winston-Salem, NC. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18 to $25, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources and payroll processing, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting our employees and ensuring smooth HR operations within the company. The work environment is office-based, and the schedule is Monday to Friday, with standard 8-hour shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, administering employee benefits, and providing daily assistance to employees regarding HR-related inquiries. This role requires a proactive approach to conflict management and the ability to communicate effectively in both Spanish and English. We are looking for someone who can provide references and demonstrate a proven history in HR, payroll, or recruiting. Preference will be given to applicants with 3 or more years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
• Administer employee benefits and assist employees with inquiries regarding their benefits.
• Provide daily HR support to employees, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Manage conflict resolution and ensure a positive work environment.
• Maintain accurate HR records and documentation as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources is required.
• Proficiency in Spanish is required; bilingual candidates are preferred.
• Experience with payroll processing and administration is essential.
• Strong conflict management skills are necessary.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of experience in HR, payroll, or recruiting is preferred.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar HR software is a plus.
