About the position

The HR Generalist at PrimeFlight Aviation plays a crucial role in supporting the Cargo sector business unit. This position is responsible for a variety of HR functions that are essential for maintaining a positive work environment and ensuring compliance with HR policies. The HR Generalist will handle recruitment processes, including job postings, resume screenings, and conducting interviews. They will also manage employee relations matters, addressing conflicts and grievances in coordination with the HR Manager. This role requires a proactive approach to performance management and employee engagement initiatives, contributing to a culture of respect and teamwork within the organization. In addition to recruitment and employee relations, the HR Generalist will oversee benefits administration, ensuring that employees are informed about their options and that all changes are processed accurately. They will maintain HR databases and systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with confidentiality policies. The HR Generalist will also support the onboarding process for new hires, facilitating training and ensuring a smooth transition into the organization. This position requires collaboration with corporate benefits to manage employee leave requests and compliance with labor laws. The HR Generalist will participate in various HR projects, including diversity and inclusion programs, and will assist in workplace health and safety initiatives. This role is vital for enhancing employee morale and engagement through recognition programs and other initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Manage and assist with timely addressing employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and grievance handling in coordination with HR Manager.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job posting, resume screening, MVR screening, drug testing, onboarding, badging/badging audits and coordination of interviews.
  • Conduct interviews and facilitate the interview process.
  • Maintain and oversee HR databases and systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Coordinate and facilitate employee onboarding, including the organization and training of new hire classes to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Provide support in benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and employee communications.
  • Assist in implementing and communicating HR policies, procedures, and programs to employees.
  • Maintain accurate and organized employee records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality policies.
  • Support the performance appraisal process, including documentation and follow-up.
  • Collaborate in identifying training needs and coordinating training programs for employees.
  • Assist in ensuring HR compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage and coordinate with corporate benefits regarding employee leave requests, including FMLA, and ensure compliance with leave policies.
  • Prepare and distribute HR-related communications and notices to employees needed and directed by HR Manager.
  • Assist with HR analytics to monitor key HR metrics and provide insights.
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and activities to enhance workplace morale.
  • Assist with employee recognition programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinate employee offboarding to include termination initiation in company platforms including exit interviews and the return of company assets.
  • Assist in workplace health and safety programs and compliance efforts.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion programs, to enhance the HR function.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Two years' experience in a HR or managerial role.
  • Experience in HRIS systems, UKG experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, employee resolution.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent follow up and follow through.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) and present information to stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply logic and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents.
  • Ability to support a 24/7 operation including holidays.
  • Pass a background check and drug screen.
