About the position

Parker Aerospace, a segment of Parker Hannifin Corporation, is seeking an HR Generalist to coordinate and administer HR programs at our Akron, OH location. This role is essential in supporting various HR functions and ensuring that our HR practices align with the company's core values and business objectives. The HR Generalist will work under supervision to interface with functional and operational leaders, manage the recruitment process, and support performance and talent management cycles. This position is pivotal in fostering a positive work environment and addressing employee concerns effectively. The HR Generalist will be responsible for reviewing resumes, creating candidate pools, and supporting the interview and selection process. Additionally, this role involves administering routine local training and coordinating corporate-sponsored training initiatives. The HR Generalist will also assist managers with development planning and address complex questions from both managers and team members regarding HR policies, compensation, and benefits. Reporting and analytics will be conducted as needed to support HR functions and improve processes. Responsibilities

  • Interface with functional and operational leaders on openings
  • Review resumes and create candidate pools
  • Support interview and selection process
  • Partner with functional and operational leaders to complete performance management and talent management cycle
  • Administer routine local training
  • Coordinate corporate sponsored training
  • Support managers in routine development planning
  • Address complex questions by managers and team members
  • Responsible for team member grievances
  • Address questions on compensation and benefits
  • Conduct reporting and analytics as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree required
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence and engage at all levels of the business
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects and drive change
  • Strong coaching skills
