About the position

We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at WilsonHCG in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting our HR department and ensuring the smooth operation of various HR functions. This role is responsible for maintaining day-to-day activities including talent development, compensation, policy compliance, data analysis, and communications for our Commercial Service business in the US. The HR Generalist will also have the opportunity to be involved in specified HR projects, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the HR team. The successful candidate will be organized and analytical, providing HR client support to Service Managers, Technicians, and Business leaders. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. The HR Generalist will support the administration of compensation and benefit programs for technicians, assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes, conduct employee onboarding, and help organize training and development initiatives. Additionally, the role involves providing support to employees on various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation, and resolving any issues that may arise. Promoting HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace is also a key responsibility. The HR Generalist will support and coach managers, completing tasks related to performance management, and will gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, such as time to hire and employee turnover rates. This position is essential for fostering a positive work environment and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Support administration of compensation and benefit programs for technicians

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software
  • Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking
  • Leadership and coaching skills
  • Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and analytically driven

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities
  • Leadership experience (1 year preferred)
