The HR Generalist at Haskell plays a pivotal role in partnering with managers to provide essential HR guidance across various functions, including performance management, employee relations, and organizational culture. This position is integral to the design and implementation of corporate initiatives, driving programs such as performance reviews, demographic and turnover reporting, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. The HR Generalist is responsible for assessing and anticipating HR-related needs, collaborating with the HR Operations team to develop and implement effective solutions. In this role, the HR Generalist will provide guidance and partnership to leaders on a variety of HR processes and philosophies, including performance management, employment compliance, and compensation strategies. They will address team member inquiries, resolve issues, and direct team members to the appropriate HR center of excellence as needed. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations is a key responsibility, which includes completing required government reporting such as AAP, EEO-1, and Vets-4212. The HR Generalist must stay informed about compliance laws impacting the company at federal, state, and local levels, which may also extend to international regulations. Additionally, the HR Generalist will maintain the Team Member Handbook and HR Operations policies, proposing and drafting new policies as necessary. They will educate and train managers to effectively manage performance and conflict while reinforcing Haskell's culture. Investigating employee relations issues and guiding managers through performance coaching and improvement plans are also critical components of this role. The HR Generalist will participate in developing departmental goals and objectives, providing recommendations for best practices, and creating, analyzing, and interpreting HR reports to translate data into actionable recommendations for leadership. Other duties and projects may be assigned as needed.
