About the position

Coastal Palms Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dynamic Human Resource Generalist to join our skilled nursing community in Portland, TX. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for implementing HR policies and procedures, managing employee relations issues, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Your expertise in HRIS systems will be essential in streamlining HR operations and maintaining accurate employee records. Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment process including job postings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy in employee compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, as well as relevant labor laws.
  • Handle employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to staff and management.
  • Maintain and manage HRIS systems to ensure accurate employee records and reporting.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Support training and development efforts for staff to enhance their skills and career growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, or at least 3 years of experience in a professional HR position in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and compliance regulations.
  • Experience in the skilled nursing or healthcare industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and payroll management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with employee relations and conflict resolution.
