The Human Resource Generalist at FoodPharma, LLC will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources department. This position involves collaborating closely with the Human Resources Manager and Supervisor to manage various HR functions, including interviewing, hiring, payroll administration, benefits processing, and compliance with state and federal laws. The HR Generalist will be responsible for ensuring that all HR processes are executed efficiently and in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. In terms of payroll and time management, the HR Generalist will conduct audits of timecards, reconcile missing punches, process payroll, and issue manual checks as necessary. Recruitment and onboarding are also key responsibilities, where the HR Generalist will create and manage job postings, conduct phone screenings, schedule interviews, and extend job offers. They will also conduct new hire orientations to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees. The HR Generalist will handle benefits administration, including processing benefits for new hires and managing open enrollment changes. They will conduct meetings for open enrollment and audit benefit invoices to ensure accuracy. Employee relations will be a significant part of the role, where the HR Generalist will issue disciplinary actions, administer leave programs, and maintain accurate records of leave requests. Additionally, the HR Generalist will work closely with the Human Resources Manager to manage worker's compensation and safety protocols. This includes setting up onboarding processes for safety, conducting injury reporting and investigations, and acting as a liaison between injured employees and the worker's compensation adjuster. The role also involves general HR duties such as employee verifications, managing employee recognition programs, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. Food safety is a critical aspect of this position, as every employee is responsible for maintaining food safety standards. The HR Generalist will be expected to follow Good Manufacturing Practices and report any food safety and quality issues to the appropriate personnel. Overall, this position requires a proactive approach to HR management, with a strong emphasis on compliance, safety, and employee relations.
