About the position

The Part-Time HR Generalist at Velocity International Group will provide comprehensive HR support in a dynamic logistics environment. This role is designed for a proactive and organized individual who can manage various HR functions while working closely with the HR Business Partner. The position offers flexibility with the opportunity for occasional remote work, making it suitable for those seeking part-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job postings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating new hire processes.
• Conduct onboarding sessions and ensure new employees have the necessary resources.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns.
• Support the HR BP and department leads in addressing workplace issues and fostering a positive culture.
• Maintain employee records, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with HR policies.
• Assist with tracking time off, leave requests, and other HR-related documentation.
• Help enforce company policies and ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations.
• Stay updated on HR compliance requirements and assist with audits as needed.
• Support employee training sessions and development programs.
• Provide logistical support for performance reviews and feedback processes.
• Assist with payroll submissions, benefits enrollment, and employee inquiries related to compensation and benefits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within logistics, supply chain, or a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
