About the position

The HR Generalist will support the HR department by managing various HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. This role is essential in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring that HR practices align with legal requirements and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job posting and candidate sourcing to interviews and hiring.
  • Coordinate and conduct new employee onboarding sessions, ensuring a smooth and welcoming process for all new hires.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in conflict resolution and ensure a positive work environment.
  • Support managers with performance management processes, including performance appraisals, goal-setting, and employee development.
  • Help identify and address performance issues or concerns in collaboration with leadership.
  • Assist in administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and benefits providers, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with HR laws and regulations to ensure the organization's practices remain compliant.
  • Support the planning and execution of training programs for employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing professional development.
  • Assist in preparing HR reports and tracking key performance metrics, such as turnover rates, employee engagement, and other workforce-related data.
  • Assist in other HR-related projects and administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a generalist HR role or related HR functions.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
  • Experience with performance management systems and HR analytics.
