About the position

As an HR Generalist at Prince Telecom, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's human resources functions and initiatives. Prince Telecom is a well-established national telecommunications customer service fulfillment company that specializes in residential and commercial installation, repair, and construction services. The HR Generalist will be responsible for driving HR-related business needs, which include onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, records management, training, policy implementation, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. In this role, you will administer various human resource initiatives and procedures for all personnel within the organization. You will assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures as required, participate in developing department goals and objectives, and monitor the performance evaluation process. Educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations will be a key responsibility, along with facilitating new employee orientation and new leadership orientation. You will maintain digital employee personnel files and documents, monitor and track activities through the Learning Management System, and administer, track, and monitor the employee leave process. Additionally, you will assist with benefit meetings and enrollments, skillfully investigate employee relations concerns while maintaining confidentiality, and participate in staffing meetings and other seminars as required. Your role will also involve evaluating reports and proposals that will aid in process improvements, ensuring that all efforts align with company policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. The position may require travel to various office locations to provide HR support, with up to 30% travel obligations.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources Management or related discipline.
  • 2+ years experience in HR.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment law.
  • Experience working in HRIS systems (i.e. UKG, SAP, etc.).
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrate sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Operate with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and Google applications.
  • Possess a valid driver's license, including a MVR record deemed acceptable by the company.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time locally and nationally and work in various environments (Office, Travel, and Remote Work).
