As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Generalist to join our team. We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to oversee our HR initiatives and operations. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and proactive individual with a strong background in human resources management, including recruitment, employee relations, training, compliance, FMLA administration, and payroll processing. This role will play a crucial part in supporting our employees and promoting a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Handle employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure data integrity in our HRIS system.
  • Oversee FMLA administration, including eligibility determination, documentation, and compliance with FMLA regulations.
  • Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as needed to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on generalist functions.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly in Ohio.
  • Experience with FMLA administration and understanding of related regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll processing and payroll software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred but not required.
