The Field Support Center in Tucker, Georgia serves each GMS location, providing the support needed to enable local teams to deliver outstanding service to contractors and builders in their local communities. The primary function of a Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is to perform a wide range of HR-related duties, including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, pre-employment screenings, onboarding/offboarding, leave administration, policy implementation, and employment law/compliance matters. The HR Generalist reports to the Senior HR Generalist while also taking direction from the Regional HR Manager(s) who support their designated geographic region(s). In this role, the HR Generalist will advise and coach employees and managers in response to concerns related to the general work environment, morale, interpersonal conflicts, and employee complaints, including sexual harassment and other forms of alleged inappropriate workplace behavior. The HR Generalist will also act as a liaison between hiring managers and external recruiters to ensure the timeliness of the recruitment process and develop recruiting strategies that support the achievement of business goals. Additionally, the HR Generalist will assist with the creation of offer letters, oversee the electronic onboarding process, and stay abreast of GMS policies and updates to handbooks as needed. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
