About the position

A non-profit organization is seeking to bring on an HR Generalist for a direct hire position. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the administration of all employee benefits, onboarding and offboarding processes, performance management, training and development, as well as general HR administration. The organization values candidates who have specialized in one area of HR, and encourages those individuals to apply as well. As an HR Generalist, you will coordinate daily benefits processing, which includes handling enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability claims, accident and death claims, and rollovers. You will also develop and implement strategic recruitment programs for all non-retail positions and provide recommendations to hiring managers. Additionally, you will assist in the development and implementation of onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring that all new employees complete the required paperwork and orientations. Your role will also involve supporting the performance management process, which includes goal setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans. You will identify training needs within the organization and develop training programs to address those needs. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and HRIS data entry, will be a critical part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will prepare HR-related reports and analytics for management as needed and assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 3 years of HR experience is required.
  • Tenured HR experience is necessary.
  • Nonprofit experience is a huge plus.
