About the position

The Human Resources Administrator plays a crucial role in administering policies and programs related to various phases of human resources activities. This position involves performing general HR duties that are essential for the smooth operation of the HR department. The HR Administrator will be responsible for overseeing payroll processes, including payroll close, distribution, attendance tracking, and vacation/PPT time calculations. They will also review and recommend payroll adjustments and edit time cards for errors. In addition, the HR Administrator will conduct interviews, process applications, and track the applicant pool for hiring purposes. Another key responsibility is tracking attendance for non-exempt employees to ensure compliance with company policies. The HR Administrator will provide management with the necessary information to complete and administer performance reviews, process salary increase forms, and assist managers and employees in interpreting and applying policies consistently. Conducting orientation sessions for new hires to inform them about benefits and safety protocols is also part of the role. The HR Administrator will communicate company benefit programs effectively and provide timely written and verbal communication to management regarding various HR issues. They will assist in developing and implementing effective reporting systems and maintain the smooth operation of the support area while fostering good public relations. Additionally, the HR Administrator will handle I-9 forms and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with eVerify processes, and maintain a positive working relationship with supervisors and coworkers. The role requires the ability to adapt to a changing environment, handle pressure, and meet performance goals while working safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of HR experience required; 3-5 years preferred.
  • Proficient in typing quickly and accurately, using a mouse effectively, and understanding Windows-based operating systems.
  • Ability to project a positive and professional image to applicants and employees.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and subordinates.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals and federal regulations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment law at federal and state levels.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and address employee/management concerns effectively.
  • Ability to maintain a well-organized work area and manage time effectively.
