The HR Generalist will be responsible for full-cycle employment for hourly and some salaried employees, which includes recruiting, compensation review, performance management, employee relations, organizational development, and employee coaching. The role requires accessibility and consultation with line management to provide daily HR guidance, serving as the on-site point of contact for employee benefits, HRIS questions, and payroll inquiries. Additionally, the HR Generalist will conduct and coordinate new hire orientations, which involves preparing offer letters, scheduling coordination with managers, and conducting new hire presentations and training. The position also supports facility needs and projects, applying an understanding of the client's business strategy to help leaders identify and address organizational gaps. A strong client experience for employees is essential, which includes working closely with management and employees to improve engagement and work relationships, as well as participating in projects and events to build morale and increase productivity and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for full-cycle employment for hourly and some salaried employees including recruiting, compensation review, performance management, employee relations, organizational development, and employee coaching.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of progressively responsible experience in HR, preferably supporting hourly employees in a production environment (subject to a collective bargaining agreement).
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred.
  • Strongly preferred: Bilingual in English/Spanish, to include comprehension, reading, and writing in both languages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Must be able to stand or sit and perform work at a computer for extended periods; must be able to bend, lift, and carry up to 45 pounds on occasion.
  • Strong communication skills with varied audiences to include written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal engagement and collaboration skills, successfully building and managing relationships to influence and work effectively with individuals at all levels in the company.
  • History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
