The HR Generalist role at TreeHouse Foods in Ogden, UT, is a full-time position that provides essential support for approximately 700 hourly, temporary, and administrative employees. This role is pivotal in driving and supporting key initiatives aimed at enhancing performance and employee satisfaction throughout the plant. The HR Generalist will be responsible for a variety of functions that contribute to the overall effectiveness of the human resources department. These functions include developing and executing training programs for both management team members and hourly employees, which are designed to improve performance and results. Additionally, the HR Generalist will assist in the recruitment process for hourly and administrative positions, ensuring that the organization attracts and retains top talent. Another critical aspect of this role involves the development of performance management and improvement systems, as well as overseeing the new hire orientation and development processes. The HR Generalist will also manage an employee reward system, working closely with the HR Manager to address employee relations issues within the facility. This position requires the design and management of various programs and policies that support the orderly operation of the facilities, including work rules, a plant-wide job bid system, accommodation requests, light duty work, and attendance programs. Compliance with governmental regulations such as FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and AAP is also a key responsibility, ensuring that the facility operates within legal parameters. The HR Generalist will coordinate employee activities that foster positive employee relations and will perform other duties as assigned. This role predominantly operates on the first shift, with occasional flexibility required to support all shifts. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in HR Information Systems, particularly Workday, is essential, as are strong communication skills and leadership capabilities.
