About the position

We are inviting applications for the role of HR Generalist based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This role is centered around supporting various human resources functions, with a strong focus on recruitment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in improving processes, ensuring accountability, and troubleshooting issues within the team. This is a short term contract employment opportunity in the industry. The HR Generalist will assist in the recruitment process, including processing applications, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions. Additionally, the role involves conducting reviews of HR procedures to identify areas of improvement and recommend changes. The HR Generalist will provide support to the HR team in managing daily administrative tasks and act as a liaison between different teams to foster effective communication and partnership. Developing and defining hiring best practices to ensure a smooth recruitment process is also a key responsibility. The HR Generalist will address and resolve issues hindering the team from completing tasks efficiently, monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws, and utilize HR systems such as UKG for efficient management of employee data and records. Furthermore, the HR Generalist will assist in the development of team members through coaching and mentoring, and communicate observations and provide feedback on team performance to the supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including processing applications, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions

Requirements

  • Must hold a minimum of 7 years of experience as an HR Generalist or a similar role in the Human Resources department.
  • Proficient in HR management systems such as Ceridian and UKG Pro.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective employee relations.
  • Knowledge and experience in compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with corporate and full cycle recruiting is essential.
  • Strong ability to manage employee relationships, address issues and ensure a harmonious workplace environment.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently when required.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the business plan.
