The Human Resources Administrator plays a crucial role in administering policies and programs related to various phases of human resources activities. This position involves performing general HR duties that are essential for the smooth operation of the HR department. The HR Administrator will be responsible for overseeing payroll processes, including payroll close, distribution, attendance tracking, and vacation/PPT time calculations. They will also review and recommend payroll adjustments and edit time cards for errors. In addition, the HR Administrator will manage the applicant pool for hiring, ensuring that all attendance policies are adhered to for non-exempt employees. In the realm of performance management, the HR Administrator will provide management with the necessary information to complete and administer performance reviews for staff members. This includes processing Form 100s for approved salary increases and assisting managers and employees in interpreting and applying policies and procedures consistently. The HR Administrator will conduct orientations for new hires, providing them with essential information regarding benefits, ergonomics, and safety protocols. The role also encompasses the administration and communication of company benefit programs, ensuring timely written and verbal communication to management regarding various HR issues. The HR Administrator will assist in developing and implementing effective reporting systems and maintaining the smooth operation of the support area while fostering good public relations. Additionally, the HR Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of I-9 forms and documentation through eVerify processes, checking rehire-reinstatement forms, and reviewing employee referrals to ensure accurate compensation. The ability to maintain focus and concentration to meet performance goals, react positively to a changing environment, and handle pressure while meeting deadlines is essential for this role. The HR Administrator will also be expected to maintain good working relationships with supervisors and coworkers, work safely, and perform additional duties as required by management.
