About the position

EDP is a leader in the propane industry, extending its services from New York to California, including both rural and metropolitan areas. Our core services cater to a wide range of customers, encompassing residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural sectors, ensuring safe and reliable propane service. As a Senior HR Generalist at EDP, you will play a crucial role in supporting multiple locations by being the local HR contact for employee onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, and leave management. This position calls for a proactive and experienced HR professional dedicated to maintaining an effective management of HR functions, including leave administration, accommodation requests, and conflict management. You will partner strategically with General Managers and provide guidance to supervisors on various HR concerns, helping to maintain our culture of engagement, inclusion, and respect.

Responsibilities

  • Support multiple locations as the local HR contact for employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Manage employee relations and leave management processes.
  • Administer leave requests and accommodation requests effectively.
  • Provide guidance to supervisors on HR concerns and best practices.
  • Partner strategically with General Managers to align HR functions with business needs.
  • Maintain a culture of engagement, inclusion, and respect within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of HR experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, and FMLA.
  • Demonstrated experience working with executives is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple, diverse work assignments with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality results and deliverables.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves
