About the position

HR-Rethought is a small HR consulting company based in south Overland Park, KS, serving clients throughout the Kansas City metro area. We partner with small to midsize businesses, acting as their outsourced HR and Recruiting team. Our clientele spans various industries, including manufacturing, engineering, and retail services. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, extremely organized, and possess a positive attitude. We value individuals who can adapt to different situations, embody humility, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. In the role of HR Generalist, you will support our clients in all aspects of human resources. Many of our clients are unsure of their HR needs, and that’s where your expertise will come into play. A well-rounded HR background is essential, as you will be involved in various HR functions. Your responsibilities will include managing HR processes and procedures, fostering employee relations, updating and creating employee handbooks, and improving onboarding and offboarding processes. You will also be responsible for broker selection, performance management, and coordinating annual benefit enrollment, among other tasks. Effective time management and communication skills are crucial, as you will need to maintain multiple client email inboxes and communicate consistently with consultants regarding client needs and updates. You will assist in scheduling meetings, onboarding new hires, and managing HR administrative support tasks, such as maintaining employee files and conducting I-9 verifications. Building strong client relationships and occasionally working on-site will also be part of your role. We are looking for someone with 3-5+ years of human resources experience who has successfully managed multiple priorities and completed projects within deadlines.
