About the position

The HR Generalist position at a creative social media agency in Los Angeles is a contract role designed to cover for a staff member on leave for 3-4 months. The role involves assisting with HR operations for a team of 60, providing administrative and HR services, and ensuring smooth HR processes during the absence. The position is primarily remote with occasional in-office requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, updating, and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of all employee records on the ADP system.
• Assisting with the recruitment process including job postings, candidate screenings, and interview coordination.
• Assisting with the new hire orientation and onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for all new employees.
• Supporting employees in understanding and applying HR policies, practices, and procedures.
• Assisting in administering employee benefit programs and worker's compensation.
• Assisting with preparation of periodic reports relating to HR activities.
• Performing other related duties as assigned by HR manager or others.

Requirements

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
• Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
• Knowledge in Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration
• Understanding of Compliance norms and regulations within HR
• Demonstrated ability in handling Employee Relations
• Degree in Human Resources or related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proven experience in HR roles, ideally as an HR Generalist
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
