About the position

The HR Generalist at UGI Corporation will play a pivotal role in partnering with assigned field operations client groups to drive people-related initiatives. This position focuses on various aspects of human resources, including performance management, employee and labor relations, and the execution and enhancement of policies and procedures. The HR Generalist will collaborate closely with UGI's Centers of Expertise (COEs) and other leaders to effectively implement the HR agenda across the organization. In this role, the HR Generalist will be the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR-related topics, providing effective resolutions and support. Responsibilities include offering day-to-day HR support for policy interpretations, onboarding and offboarding processes, leave of absences, and performance management guidance. The HR Generalist will also work with field managers to develop engagement strategies that foster improved work relationships, morale, and retention. Additionally, the HR Generalist will lead investigations to resolve employee relations issues and will evaluate trends in collaboration with Senior HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and other leaders. This position requires a strong ethical foundation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders effectively. The HR Generalist will also support the HR team on interim projects and other key initiatives, ensuring alignment and adoption of cross-functional HR programs and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with field operations, business leaders, and HR partners.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR topics and provide effective resolutions.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support for policies and procedures interpretations, onboarding, offboarding, and performance management guidance.
  • Partner with field managers to enhance engagement strategies that promote improved work relationships, morale, and retention.
  • Lead investigations to resolve employee relations issues and evaluate trends with Senior HRBPs and leaders.
  • Support the HR team on interim projects and other key initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role in a corporate environment.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Strong ethics and integrity with the ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to effectively influence stakeholders to drive sound decision-making.
  • Experience in driving alignment and adoption of cross-functional HR programs and initiatives.
