About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Hanwha Q CELLS plays a pivotal role in supporting the HR Manager and the overall HR function within the organization. This position is designed to provide innovative people solutions that address complex business issues, focusing on areas such as talent development, coaching for business outcomes, organizational design, and strategic decision-making. The HR Generalist is accountable for all HR components, which include workforce planning, staffing, learning and development, performance assessment processes, employee relations, and other HR functional disciplines. In this role, the HR Generalist will manage the end-to-end recruitment processes, which encompasses sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates to ensure the organization attracts top talent. They will also coordinate new employee onboarding activities to facilitate a smooth transition into the company. Acting as a point of contact for employees, the HR Generalist will address inquiries and resolve HR-related issues, ensuring that employees feel supported and informed. Additionally, the HR Generalist will assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, working collaboratively with leadership to influence and manage policies, programs, and services related to recruitment, retention, performance management, and employee relations. This role requires effective interfacing with all levels of the organization to coordinate and oversee HR-related activities, analyze situations, and identify pertinent problems. The HR Generalist will also prepare employee separation notices, conduct exit interviews, and maintain accurate employee records while generating reports and analyzing HR metrics to inform decision-making. Staying informed about changes in labor laws and ensuring compliance is also a critical aspect of this position, along with working with legal counsel as needed to address HR-related legal matters.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding activities to ensure a smooth organizational transition
  • Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries and resolving HR-related issues
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Communicate collaboratively with leadership to influence, develop, implement, and manage policies, programs, and services in recruitment and retention, performance management, and employee relations
  • Effectively interface with all levels of the organization to coordinate and oversee all HR-related activities
  • Analyze situations and identify and forecast pertinent problems
  • Evaluate realistic options to recommend/implement an appropriate course of action
  • Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation and conduct exit interviews
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on performance-related matters
  • Identify training needs and collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver training programs
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions as necessary
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
  • Generate reports and analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making
  • Stay informed about changes in labor laws and ensure the organization's compliance
  • Work with legal counsel as needed to address HR-related legal matters

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR roles focusing on general responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to understand, evaluate, and make judgments on the proposals
